At the Stephex Masters, Koen and Kasanova de la Pomme achieved yet another top result this season. In the strongly contested Rolex GP, they finished fifth and best Belgian combination. With the only 9-year-old Portobella van de Fruitkorf (Emilie Conter), a second Bamako offspring also finished in the top ten. In the Nations Cup, Funky Fred vh Marienshof (s. Fantomas de Muze) stood out. Under Lars Kersten, he was one of only two horses to achieve a double clear round.
As usual, Oilily de Muze also collected prize money. She finished fifth in the 1.50m GP qualifier and second in a 1.40m class. In the latter class, she was closely followed by Great Britain V (s. Nabab de Rêve, Jérôme Guery) and Olympke van ‘t Merelsnest (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles, Petronella Andersson). The latter duo also came second in a 1.45m class.
Also in the five-star classes, Olivier Philippaerts and Poppemieke JW van de Moerhoeve (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) grabbed fourth place in a 1.50m class. There was also a placing at that level for Robert Murphy and Hulde G (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles). Sergio Alvarez Moya won a 1.45m class riding Brazilia DK Z (s. By Cera d'Ick).
A new asset for Koen is the 8-year-old Quinoa de la Linière (s. Mosito van het Hellehof). In the three-star classes they immediately came fourth over 1.40m. Nick Vrins and Qoreen van ‘t Ruytershof (s. Mosito van het Hellehof) grabbed fourth place in the GP2*. Mathieu Guery grabbed second place in a 1.40m class on Falko Ste Hermelle (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles).
Bridgehampton
Alex Matz and Ikigai (s. Elvis Ter Putte) finished a fine third in the GP5* at Bridgehampton. In the GP2*, Beat Mändli finished third riding Kay Grey (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles).
Rome
Rome also saw jumping at five-star level. There, Jur Vrieling and Hellwell du Chabus (s. Elvis Ter Putte) scored third place over 1.40m. In the same class, Giacomo Casadei and Marbella du Chabli (s. Elvis Ter Putte) finished fifth. In the CSI2*, Guido Grimaldi finished seventh in the GP on Gentleman (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles), after they also finished fourth in a 1.40m class. Both Cassidy Rein (Habab-W, s. Nabab de Rêve) and Felipe Coutinho Mendonca Nagata (Monseigneur, s. Nabab de Rêve) won a 1.40m class.
Gijon
In a 1.55m class in Gijon (CSI4*), Pedro Veniss raced to third place riding Nimrod de Muze Z (s. Nabab de Rêve). At two-star level, Rikke Belinda Barker finished seventh on Empire SBK Z (s. Elvis Ter Putte) in the GP.
Del Mar
Keri Potter and 9-year-old Kalimera van de Nethe Z (s. Kasanova de la Pomme) grabbed eighth place in the Del Mar GP2*, just ahead of Cassio Rivetti and Edesa's Vidal 8 (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles). The latter duo also came second in a 1.45m class.
Other
Marc Houtzager finished fifth in a 1.45m class in Münster riding Dwivoli van de Groote Kamps Z (s. Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof). Finally, in Opglabbeek, Louise Ameeuw and Nasty Boy de Muze (s. Bamako de Muze) finished sixth in the GP2*.
