Gancia de Muze and Belgian team grab victory in Nations Cup final

NC Barcelona

The Belgian team has washed away the disappointment and the grief after the disappointing WEG in Tryon by gloriously winning the Nations Cup final in Barcelona. Thanks to a clear round from, among others, Gancia de Muze (f. Malito de Rêve) and Niels Bruynseels, Belgium was able to secure the victory. The French team with among them Olivier Robert and Eros (f. Querlybet Hero), finished second. Ensor de Litrange LXIII (f. Nabab de Rêve) was part of the Italian team that became fourth. Lorenzo De Luca was in the saddle of Ensor.

In the other classes in Barcelona, Gentiane de la Pomme stood out by finishing third in a 1.45m-class with Wilm Vermeir. Gentiane is sired by Shindler de Muze.

Opglabbeek

There was also a victory in Opglabbeek last weekend. To be more precise, Pieter Clemens and Icarus (f. Querlybet Hero) won the GP2*. In that same class, homebred Tinka’s Hope (f. Tinka’s Boy) and Demi Van Grunsven became ninth. The final for five- and six-year-old horses was won by Gregory Wathelet en Melia de Regor (f. Elvis Ter Putte).

Birmingham

Shane Breen and Golden Hawk secured a third place in the GP of Birmingham, the unofficial start of the international indoor season. Golden Hawk was born with us as Figo de Muze (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles).

Southern atmosphere

More GP-news comes from the sunny south of Europe. Portugese rider Hugo Carvalho finished eighth in the GP of Vilamoura with the Portugese bred Extraordiner (f. Nabab de Rêve). Nabab sired some other fine performers as well, such as Ermes de Bergeries, who became third in a 1.40m-class ridden by André Americo de Miranda and James de Muze, who ended fourth at the same height in Oliva with Rob Eras.

Moorsele

Finally, we swing by Moorsele, where we have a whole list of excellent performances, especially in the young horse classes. Very High de Muze (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles, Philippe Lejeune), Memphis van ’t Hulgenrode (f. Elvis Ter Putte, Bunoit Moeskops), Elvis De Wijnendale Z (f. Elvis Ter Putte, Hendrik Denutte), Hero Vigo (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles, Bart Bles), Mi Amigo van ’t Keikelhof (f.Vigo d’Arsouilles) and I Am Elvis (f. Elvis Ter Putte, Chanel De Baets) all showed their potential by placing themselves once or more in the classes for five-and six-year-old horses. Freud del Cabanon (f. Filou de Muze) did the same with Gilles Murigneux in the classes for seven-year-olds.

Kathrin Müller and Felitia DH (f. Querlybet Hero) complete this overview with their tenth place in the GP.
