Special Cera du Maillet Z does indeed seem special. Under Laurent Thirion, he impresses with great technique, scope, reflexes and carefulness. In recent years, he showed his talents at the international competitions for young horses and in the cycle resulting in many clear rounds.
Special Cera also looks promising in breeding. At the sBs stallion approvals in early 2023, his first son was approved, from his first limited crop. This is U-Special by HD. Another son, Uvex de Muze, was selected for the third phase of the BWP stallion approvals.
When you look at his pedigree, there is no doubt where those talents come from. Sire Stakkato has been leading the way in German showjumping horse breeding for years and on the dam's side Special Cera, as the name suggests, goes back to Peter Wyldes legendary mare Fein Cera, best horse of the WEG in Jerez de la Frontera (2002). Great-grandmother Cera herself also jumped at the highest level with Otto Becker. Hopefully, Special Cera can one day follow in their footsteps.
