Vanilla Ice probably inherited his colour and qualities from his dam's side. Granddam is the famous mare Southern Queen xx, who is, among others, dam of the international top-class stallions Fletcha van 't Verahof and Leipheimer van 't Verahof. Dam Laguna van 't Verahof is a daughter of the valley-coloured stallion Cream On Top (himself a son of Concorde). His jumping qualities are enhanced by the contribution of his sire Kasanova de la Pomme.
