A fantastic week in Lanaken not only secured the Belgian title for Koen and Merryweather van ’t Leeuwerikenhof, but also gold for Vintage van de Heyveldhoeve (s. Kasanova de la Pomme) at the World Championships for five-year-old show jumpers, ridden by the young Irish rider Sam Widger. In the six-year-olds’ class, Kian Dore rode Olga d’Ecaussinnes (s. Malito de Rêve) to ninth place in the final. Paolo Adorno and Nairobi Z.G. Z (s. Nabab de Rêve) also made it through to the final. In the competition for seven-year-olds, DSH Vigo Sea (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles, Jack Ryan) did Stal de Muze proud. Alexander Butler and Think Nice DC (s. Taran de la Pomme) also made it through to the final, as did Conan Wright on I M Special Bella GB (s. I’m Special de Muze).

In the first round of the Sires of the World, Thibeau Spits took second place riding Gin Flip de Muze Z (s. Gino H). Thomas De Wit and Ecuador DW Z (s. El Torreo de Muze) finished fifth.

Williamsburg

There was also a major triumph in the 5* World Cup round at Williamsburg, where Beat Mändli claimed victory riding Qoachella (s. Mosito van het Hellehof).

St Tropez

The Longines League of Nations made its way to St. Tropez. Giampiero Garofalo and Querido van ’t Ruytershof (s. Mosito van het Hellehof) finished fourth in the Nations Cup with the Italian team. Kevin Staut rode Vida Loca Z (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles) to second place in a 1.55m class. In the CSI3* classes, Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli took fourth place over 1.45m with Falko Ste Hermelle (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles). Simon Delestre and Olga van de Kruishoeve (s. El Torreo de Muze) achieved the same result.

Bedizzole

Paolo Adamo Zuvadelli and SM Moses CH (s. Mosito van het Hellehof) took fourth place in a 1.50m class at the CSI3* in Bedizzole. Max Haunhorst rode I’m Spezial 2 (s. I’m Special de Muze) to third place in a ranking class.

North Salem

The GP2* at North Salem was won by Darragh Kenny on Pearl Gem VDM (s. Gemini xx). Hallie Grimes and Margriet de Mariposa (s. Nabab de Rêve) finished in seventh place. Both pairs had previously excelled in the qualifier. In a 1.40m class, honourable placings went to Madison E. Papariello on Hinosa C (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles) and Cecilia Chatterjee on Dylano van de Heide Z (s. Denzel van ’t Meulenhof).

Other results

Finally, Luis Pedro Biraben and Vasco 109 (s. Vigo d’Arsouilles) finished fourth in the GP2* at Lexington. Martina Lain and Nestor (s. Elvis Ter Putte) matched that performance, but in the GP2* at Pozzalo, Ragusa.
