Sometimes, you just find something special. With Special Star de Corlato we think we have got just such a thing. He proved that with clear rounds in the stallion competition. In 2023 and 2024, he gained further experience in the international young horse classes and left a fine impression at the World Championships in Lanaken.

Special Star is a son of a phenomenon, namely Aachen winner and Olympic champion Big Star. On his dam's side, Special Star has exceptional Olympic genes too. Dam O'Special de Corlato is a young mare by I'm Special de Muze who, ridden by Gregory Wathelet, is building a career in the top sport. Special Star's grandmother probably does ring a bell even more. It concerns the Olympic mare Fresh Direct Corlato (s. Corofino I) who, with Briton Tim Stockdale, was for many years extremely succesful at the highest level. This dam line also produced the top-class horse Mr. Visto ridden by Lauren Tisbo.

Special Star de Corlato was convincingly accepted for the AES in 2021. His first offspring was born in 2022. From that crop, What A Call de Muze was already licensed with the SBS.
