Focus on the World Championships in Lanaken

We are still reeling from a wonderful edition of the World Championships for young showjumpers in Lanaken. Especially the performance of the offspring of Mosito van het Hellehof caught our eye. No fewer than three offspring reached the final for 7-year-olds, being Mister Qerly Z (ds. For Pleasure, Jason Foley), Qosito van de Koekoek (ds. For Pleasure, Thibault Philippaerts) and Qnokke de Muze (ds. Elvis Ter Putte, Olivier Philippaerts). Furthermore, Nobel van de Vrombautshoeve Z (s. Nabab de Rêve) also made it to the final under Ludo Philippaerts.

In the consolation class for 7-year-olds, Kyle Cuypers and Quadro van 't Buxushof (s. Elvis Ter Putte) jumped to third place. Tom Verduyn and Qonquest de Rigo (s. Fantomas de Muze) finished tenth.

In the 6-year-olds’ championship, Bombastic des Séquïoas Z (s. Bamako de Muze) qualified for the final under Odile Gierech. Sisley van de Hazenhoek (s. Malito de Rêve) represented Stal de Muze in the championship for 5-year-olds with a fine seventh place. Glenn Praet was in the saddle. Our young stallion Sambucci de Muze (Scendro x Malissa de Muze, s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) also made it to the final ridden by Luke Hill. Jeroen De Winter was present in the final on Soory-Linn vh Netehof (s. Denzel van 't Meulenhof), as did Brendan Murphy on OKE Dixieland Rock (s. Elvis Ter Putte). In the consolation, silver went to Nicholas Connors and Jump The Gun (s. I'm Special de Muze).

In the 'Sires of the World' class, second place went to Gilles Thomas on Feromas van Beek Z (s. Fantomas de Muze). Gerben Morsink and Navarone Z (s. Nabab de Rêve) finished in tenth place.

The Belgian Championship resulted in top-10 placings for Yves Vanderhasselt riding Nikita van de Koekelberg (s. Filou de Muze) and Sacha Beghuin riding Elcup van Beek II Z (s. Elvis Ter Putte).

St. Tropez

Not only in Lanaken was there sport at a high level. In St. Tropez, Origi Horta (s. Kasanova de la Pomme) jumped to second place in a 1.50m class under Eduardo Pereira de Menezes. Pénelope Leprevost and Bingo del Tondou (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) signed for second place in the GP3*. For Marie Demonte and Feticheur Riverland (s. I'm Special de Muze) there was a fourth place over 1.45m.

Gorla Minore

Emiliano Liberati and Aruba Island (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) grabbed second place in a ranking class in Gorla Minore. Next Twist van 't Ruytershof (s. Gemini xx) jumpted to third place over 1.45m under Nico Lupino. In a 1.40m class, we recorded a fifth place for Stella Trümpi and Oui-Da d'Emma (s. Scendro).

Other

Braden James finished tenth in the Vancouver GP3* riding Igali LN (s. Nabab de Rêve). There was a similar result for Nicole Walker and Panter JVH Z (s. Le Blue Diamond van 't Ruytershof) in the GP2* of Caledon. Finally, Olivier Lazarus and Popeye vd Bisschop (s. Lector vd Bisschop) signed for second place in a 1.40m class in Deurne.
