Lector grabs GP win in Zandhoven

Earlier this week we already looked back on the very successful BK for young showjumpers, but of course our stallions also made themselves noticed in the international sport.

Not in the least Lector vd Bisschop who gloriously won the GP3* of Zandhoven with Koen Vereecke. The duo also finished third in a 1.45m class. Riding Quickly v/d Kruishoeve, Vereecke won the final for 5-year-olds and with Pegasus van 't Ruytershof he realised a double clear round in the final for 6-year-olds.

Another eyecatcher was Mosito van het Hellehof. Not only with his offspring he made a great impression. He jumped himself clear in Zandhoven all week under Bernardo Alves, in two 1.40m and one 1.50m classes.

Gilles Thomas and Feromas van Beek Z (s. Fantomas de Muze) confirmed their potential with a victory at 1.50m level. In the same class Koen Vereecke finished in third place with L'Esmeralda van 't Meulenhof (s. Nabab de Rêve). Also in Zandhoven Niels Bruynseels jumped to third place in a 1.50m class riding Nabeau van het Migroveld Z (s. Nabab de Rêve). Christophe Vanderhasselt finished third in a 1.40m class with Pikap de Muze Z (s. Ponsee V). Max Sebrechts and Lady Optima (s. Nabab de Rêve) were fourth at the same level.

Valence

In the GP5* of Valence, fourth place went to Nuance Bleue VDM Z (s. Nabab de Rêve) and Lorenzo De Luca. Pieter Clemens and Icarus (s. Querlybet Hero) also placed in the top ten at number nine. With Malissa de Muze (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles), mother of our recently approved Sambucci de Muze, De Luca jumped to victory in a 1.45m class. Michel Robert and Bingo del Tondou (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) were third at the same level.

Valkenswaard

Many interesting results also in the GCT/GCL-leg of Valkenswaard. Navarone Z (s. Nabab de Rêve) and Gerben Morsink were victorious in a 1.55m class. In the same class Le Blue Diamond van 't Ruytershof finished third with Olivier Philippaerts. Sanne Thijssen and Hi There (s. Nabab de Rêve) finished fourth in another 1.55m class and were also third at level 1.45m.

In the two-star competition there was a second place at 1.45m for Agustin Covarrubias and Vida Loca Della Marca (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles).

Rockwood

On the other side of the Atlantic there was also showjumping at five-star level, as part of the new competition The Major League of Showjumping. Shane Sweetnam and Karlin van 't Vennehof (s. Fantomas de Muze) came second in the GP and second in a 1.50m class.

Drammen

Harry Allen and Guinness (s. Nabab de Rêve) were double clear and hence contributed to the victory of the Irish team in the Nations Cup of Drammen. Noukie Z (s. Nabab de Rêve) and Emilia Housen were part of the silver German team. Piet Raijmakers Jr. and Grand Prix RV (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) took fourth place in a 1.40m class. Finally, in the GP1* there was a fourth place for Obelia vd Bisschop (s. Nabab de Rêve) under Jackson Reed Stephenson.

Other

Fernando van het Posthuis (s. Nabab de Rêve) won a 1.40m class in Verbier, Switzerland, under Romain Dreyfus. In Wiener Neustadt there was a second place for Maximilian Schmid and Guardiola-N (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) at level 1.45m. Lara Whiteway and Novita Jovial Z (s. Nabab de Rêve) were fourth (1.40m) in Bolesworth and in Spanish Gijon Pedro Veniss was fifth in a 1.45m class with Nimrod de Muze Z (s. Nabab de Rêve).
