One of our top talents, the only 6-year-old Valentino Boy (s. Vivant), showed his exceptional talent in Valkenswaard. With Koen in the saddle, he was clear in the classes for 6- and 7-year-olds three days in a row, with the third place in the final as icing on the cake (which, by the way, made him the best 6-year-old).
In the GCT/GCL classes, Kevin Jochems and Flying Jackie (s. Nabab de Rêve) showed themselves with a fifth place in a 1.55m class and a win in a 1.45m class. Hasan Senturk and Onatella van ‘t Roosakker (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) also made their mark with a third place over 1.45m. In the GP2*, Jérôme Guery and Jyrado vh Bovenhoekshof (s. By Cera d'Ick) finished tenth.
Lier
Robert Murphy and Hulde G (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) finished second in the GP3* of Lier. Sacha Beghuin took eighth place riding Elcup Van Beek II Z (s. Elvis Ter Putte). In tenth place we saw Odile Gierech on Hurricane DB (s. Elvis Ter Putte). In a 1.45m class, there was a win for David Will and Popeye de Tamise (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles). Over 1.40m, there were places of honour for Mathieu Guery with Falko Ste Hermelle (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles), Victor Bettendorf with Eagle Eye de la Roque (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) and Petronella Andersson with Olympke van ‘t Merelsnest (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles).
Chepstow
Helen Tredwell and Independence TN (s. I'm Special de Muze) finished ex-aequo first in a 1.45m class in Chepstow. There was also a win for William Whitaker and Active Spirit (ex-Plathina van ‘t Ruytershof, s. Vigo d'Arsouilles), just ahead of Ryan Page on BP Ko Jax (s. Elvis Ter Putte).
Other
In the North Salem GP2*, João Eduardo Ferreira de Carvalho rushed to fourth place riding Quolonko van het Weidse Hof (s. Mosito van het Hellehof). Finally, at the five-star competition in Ottawa, Nicole Walker took fourth place over 1.45m on Panter JVH (s. Le Blue Diamond van ‘t Ruytershof).
